Love this pot! Best of the Dutch I ever heard! Perfect for chili, spaghetti sauce, casseroles and soups of all kinds! When you use the dishwasher (I do), you season the pan, every time you think it is the first year, so it is "dishwasher safe". The most commonly used piece of cookware My mother gave me this casserole when we were married in 1953. It is the most used pot in my kitchen, and believe me with 9 children, I browned bacon, hamburger, oven cooked roast, made spaghetti sauce, etc. It is a popular kitchen shower gift! Not to compare with Wagner Magna Lite lid is not firmly on the saucepan. Wagner Magna Lite Dutch oven plates are so close they almost create a vacuum, which reduces cooking time. This product is much less than expected. I am very disappointed in the product.
